My entire background is in businesses where technology is a revenue driver. Over my two decades at Citi I’ve been an integral part in growing, steering and shaping the vision and technology for the Services business. Not surprisingly, the most profitable business at the largest and most global payments bank is a technology business and Services has become its crown jewel.

Growing up in a family of engineers, I was always building — from Legos to Erector sets. Then I got my first computer — a Commodore Amiga. Back then computer magazines were filled with programs and I’d spend hours typing them into the computer, getting them to run, and then modifying them to see what else I could do.

This carried through to my first job at Motorola Research, where my creativity for tech led to six patents for different ways to send voice and data over wireless network. Even at a big bank, creativity is still in my DNA. I love coming up with ideas and turning them into tangible products, executing on the vision in practical ways.
