Kristin Darby is a globally recognized Strategic Technology Executive and Board Director with over 25 years of experience in public sector, healthcare, finance, operations, biotech, cybersecurity, and insurance. She has led technology initiatives at prominent national organizations, gaining extensive expertise in strategy, product development, operations, and M&A. Ms. Darby has successfully guided public, private, non-profit, and private equity-backed organizations through transformative periods of IT integration and high growth. Currently, Ms. Darby serves as the Chief Information Officer of the State of Tennessee, overseeing technology strategy, innovation, and solutions for state government services. From 2022 to 2025, she was the Chief Information Officer for HarmonyCares, spearheading technology transformation to enable value-based care delivery across 15 states. Prior to that, she held the position of Enterprise Chief Information Officer at Envision Healthcare, the largest medical practice in the U.S., where she managed enterprise strategy and operations for technology, cybersecurity, informatics, digital engagement, and data operations. Ms. Darby has also served as the Enterprise Chief Information Officer of Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) from 2014 to 2018, and as Chief Information Officer for Vanguard Health System's Northeast and Midwest Business Division from 2012 to 2014. Earlier in her career, she spent 12 years at Fresenius Medical Care in various roles supporting medical operations and manufacturing at approximately 2,300 facilities in the U.S. Kristin's Board of Directors experience includes Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, Addgene, and numerous non-profit organizations. She is a Certified Director with NACD and Bank Director. Ms. Darby holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida and an MBA from Henley Business School in Oxfordshire, England. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner and was inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame in 2021.
